Contributor's comments: I'm a longish-term resident of SA. I've never heard of this term or it's quoted usage. There's the (very) occasional Bonzer, Orright, Real Good and the like, but Bonji just isn't there!
Contributor's comments: In the context quoted here, it would be clearly a corruption of the French 'bonjour," but I've never heard it used. To what area of Australia is it regional?
