loosely wrapped
of a person; slightly mentally unhinged, highly idiosyncratic, not quite mad but heading there. My mother uses this term and I'm not sure if she invented it, or it's a South Australian term. Certainly my Melbourne friends don't sem to know what it means: Ccor, she's a bit loosely wrapped isn't she.
Contributor's comments: As a South Australian, I have never heard that term. I've heard of "stubby short of a six pack" etc.
