Short version of Sunshine Coast: I'm going to the Sunnie Coast for the weekend.
Contributor's comments: Never heard of Sunnie Coast. We go either to the North Coast {Sunshine Coast} or South Coast {Gold Coast} when we go to the beach from Brisbane.
Contributor's comments: The Sunshine Coast was always known as the Sunnie Coast growing up here in Queensland. Just as the Gold Coast is the Goldie.
