Two for the Valley

Polite way of saying 'Up Yours'. Comes from the signal of holding up two fingers to indicate to the tram conductor that you want 'Two tickets to Fortitude Valley': 'Two for the Valley' simply spoken to a person who will understand the symbolism when you can't say "Up Yours" or give the signal, in polite company.

Contributor's comments: Two to the Valley: Commonly heard when trams ran in Brisbane but still heard often when two tickets on train, bus or ferry are purchased to Fortitude Valley in Brisbane: "I'll have two to the Valley, thanks mate."
