the burnt trash from sugar cane fires flying through the air. Since it can come down some miles from the fire and if you have just hung the washing out, the best advice you can give is to let the washing dry before trying to remove the trash.
Contributor's comments: I can't believe that this could be a Brisbane regionalism as there are no canefields nearby. Surely if this is a regionalism it must be in northern Qld?
