roo

An idiot, fool or clumsy person. Mostly used on cattle stations: Bloody hell you're a roo.

Editor's comments: The usual meaning of "roo" is a kangaroo. This is universal in Australia and not regional, so please, no comments about roo being short for kangaroo! But if you use "roo" to refer to an idiot we would love to hear from you.

Contributor's comments: It may be that the term "roo" meaning a fool refers to the saying "He's got a few roos loose in the top paddock."
