Contributor's comments: Back in the '70's I met someone from Eyre Peninsula, South Australia, who used "ridgy didge" with great frequency in this same way; I had not heard it in Adelaide when we lived there.

Contributor's comments: I think I would have spelled it "ridgy didge" - but it certainly was in use in Sydney in the 1960s and later.

Contributor's comments: When I was growing up in Ipswich in SE Qld in the 1950s "ridgy didge" was a common expression for "true".
