sonny boy

frozen ice treat in the shape of a triangle: Could I have a sonny boy please.

Contributor's comments: The term "Sonny boy" was actually the brand name of the frozen ice drink and I believe it was spelt "Sunny Boy". There were other flavours in the same form (a triangular-based pyramid), but I think they might have had other names. We would buy them as children at the local shops in Gippsland.

Contributor's comments: Yeah, I agree. Sunny Boy was a brandname. Inside there was a printed message telling you if you had been lucky enough to win a free one.

Contributor's comments: Definitely the brand name for a triangle ice treat - sunny boys were orange flavoured and Razz's were raspberry flavoured.

Contributor's comments: Sonny Boy ice blocks are still available in multi packs supermarkets in Melbourne.
