chemi-pen

Another name for a marker pen or white board marker: I will need a chemi-pen to write a few things down on the white board. Also, chema-pen, chemy pen.

Contributor's comments: Colouring pens used by children, often called Textas after the trade name. Presumably named because they are "chemical" pens: "Who's been using chemy pens to write on the bricks?"

Contributor's comments: a fat felt marker with strong chemical smell (not an ordinary texta): "Have you got any chema-pens?"

Contributor's comments: Big fat Artliner pen (often with strong chemical smell): "I love the smell of chemi-pens in the morning."

Contributor's comments: It is interesting to note that in Croatian, a kemiska (ie. a chemical [pen]) refers to ball-point pens.
