vino collapso

cask wine (so named because the bladder collapses as the wine is drawn off. Not because of the effects of over-indulgence!): Would you rather have a "vino collapso" or a "vino vitrio"? Compare vino vitrio.

Contributor's comments: I've heard this one sporadically amongst my undergraduates over the last two years. I hadn't heard it before then. As the original contributor says, it refers to the collapsible nature of the bag, not the state of one who over indulges.

Contributor's comments: I have heard this numerous times from friends of Italian descent, in reference to their parents' home made wine. The "collapso" definitely does indicate the state one is in after drinking it!
