Contributor's comments: Lacka Band was a common term for rubber band [elastic band] in Gippsland in 1950's & 60's.
Contributor's comments: We call it a "lackey band" in WA or may be an "e" instead of an "a".
Contributor's comments: In Adelaide in the 80's we always called it a lacker band.
Contributor's comments: I still use this term, and pronounce it and would write it as lacker band.
